April 2010 Bumpers Plus Keeps Over 65 Tons of Plastic Bumpers Out of Our Landfills

Our 2009 recycling results are in and they are better than ever.  Last year we picked up and recycled more than 16,000 bumpers from our collision center and body shop customers.  That effort kept over 65 tons of plastic bumpers out of our landfills.  Since 99% of those bumpers were recycled, it also saved oil and energy consumption that would have been required to produce new virgin plastic.  Sounds good, but what does that really mean?  How about saving 238 barrels of oil, or 11,616 gallons of gasoline, or the annual emissions from the energy consumption of 9 households.  Click here to view our WasteWise WARM Report.

August 2009 Bumpers Plus NWPP Approved Supplier by Nationwide Insurance

Nationwide Insurance approved Bumpers Plus as their supplier of choice for reconditioned OEM plastic bumper covers.  Nationwide selects  a limited number of suppliers for their Nationwide Parts Program (NWPP) that have demonstrated consistent performance in quality, delivery and customer service.  Nationwide reviewed Bumpers Plus operations, historical performance, conducted a site visit and solicited input from both field appraisers and collision centers.  The decision was unanimous to include Bumpers Plus in the NWPP for GA, TN and SC with additional states planned to come on-line in the future.  You'll see Bumpers Plus as a designated NWPP supplier in monthly updates of the CCC Pathways system.
